#3 No Cost Date : Walk and Movie Night

Brrr! It’s getting to be pretty chilly outside. Still, it’s been clear and crisp lately and a walk will be perfect before watching a movie together.

When was the last time you went on a walk together?

It will be fun to see who has their Christmas lights up already and get some fresh air. One of my resolutions this month is to spend 30 minutes outside every day, and this is a great way to do it.

As far as our movie-I’m not sure what we’ll be watching yet. I almost grabbed a Redbox movie, but then I remembered our dates have to be 100% free. So, we will probably be watching a movie we already own, or making a trip to the library to get one.

Last time we did a movie night, it didn’t go so well. We learned from experience that doing a few simple things can make all the difference in how much fun you have together on a home movie night.

  • Start the movie early enough to enjoy it (so you don’t fall asleep like I did)
  • Pick a movie you both like
  • Have a nice big bowl of popcorn to share ( I have to make extra so Hubby doesn’t eat it all)
  • Get everything ready before you sit down, so you don’t have to get up during the movie
  • And of course, if you have kids, make sure they are either asleep or occupied

Any favorite movies you like to watch together? I would love to hear what they are. Share in the comments below.
